Custom bookshelves not only give you storage space for books, but are also a good place to display photo frames of your loved ones and store favorite items such as birthday cards for example. Many people use their bookshelves to display their favorite books and trophies, and once you have guests over, they can tell about you just by looking at your favorite books on the shelves. Custom shelves can be made to fit any available space and take your living room to another level.

Our shelving units are highly customizable and can be modified to your liking. They can be made in a very traditional style, adding a lot of detail to the bookcase, such as beadwork, skirting boards and a cover. Optionally, we can make them in a very contemporary way with minimal details and thick floating shelves.

In most cases, our customers prefer to have bespoke bookcases with lower cabinets with doors at the bottom and shelf space at the top, and most of the cabinets are a little deeper than the shelves and stick out a little more. But we can design your bookshelves according to your own needs and they can be made without doors and just shelves from top to bottom.

Custom Made Slatted Wooden Shelving Units

Custom fitted traditional style bookcase with LED light on shelves. This bookshelf made with many details. Below are plinths, grooves on the frames and a crown at the top.

The price for this bookcase is around £3,600 + VAT without led light. For an LED light we charge around £120 per shelf.

Very interesting style custom bookcase with large random floating shelves and single door cabinets. Very modern and minimalist design for modern properties. This is a picture of our first library in this style, which we designed and built in London in 2011. To be honest, I thought it would look awful. But once we built it, it actually looked really good and became a very popular style and we put it on the front page of our website, and since then we’ve built over 50 custom shelves with similar styles. You can find some of them below. The approximate price for this bookcase is around £4,000 + VAT

So after we built our first one, people started to like it and this project was the second custom bookcase in a similar style that we installed in Acton, West London. This one I made with gray painted doors and the same green holes created by the large shelves. I also installed an LED light strip on the top shelf, pointing towards the ceiling. Retail & Commercial Shelves & Desks

Another custom ‘crazy paving’ modern bookcase style we recently designed and fitted for our clients in East London. This time I used gray paint for the holes. It looks good too! This custom bookcase cost around £4,000 + VAT

In this example, you can see a very similar design to the built-in bookshelves, but this time it is painted white, without the different colored holes. This custom bookcase cost around £4,300 + VAT

This bookcase was made with shaker doors on the bottom and I designed it with some floating shelves on top. Since the space is a little too wide for one shelf, I made it with a vertical partition to create two sets of shelves. This makes the shelves much stronger.

Custom shelving with floating shelves we built on a wide wall ad to go around the pillow. I designed it with a chunky template to match the floating shelves, two grill doors and baseboards to match the existing ones.

Another example of a custom bookcase with thick shelves I did in Chiswick (West London) in 2010. The approximate price for these custom shelves is £4,950 + VAT

Probably the largest library I have ever custom built. It has 10 doors at the bottom and covers a 5 meter wall. It is made with thick shelves and space for a TV in the middle. The approximate price is £5,800

Other custom bookcases with shaker doors. You can see that it is very common to paint the back of the shelf dark gray to create a good contrast. This bookcase cost around £3,600 + VAT

This bookcase is made with a good number of details to create a traditional look. I cut some frame lines around the shelves, made the lower cabinets with a top, and finished it off with a little cornice on top. Approximate price is £3,600 + VAT

I designed this bookcase with swinging doors at the bottom and fairly simple shelves above. This bookcase cost around £3,650 + VAT

A custom bookcase with cabinets at the bottom, floating shelves with dividers in the middle and finished with storage behind the doors at the top. Very interesting and very unique design with minimal details, simple push to open doors and thick floating shelves.

I designed this custom oak paneled bookcase and created a desk space in the middle. It is very ideal for people who work from home.

This custom bookcase covers an entire wall and is made with small wine holes and a few drawers in the middle. Looks crazy good! The gross order price for these shelving units is £5,000 + VAT

Oak Shelving Unit, Oak Bookcase

We designed this exciting custom bookcase for our clients in South London. It is very convenient to have a small laptop desk where you can work at home, so this bookshelf has this function. As you can see from the photo, I also created space for 15 wine bottles surrounded by shelves.
