The Hyundai Ioniq 6 (Korean: 호대아오덕 6) is a mid-size electric sedan manufactured by Hyundai Motor Company. It is the second car to be sold under the Ioniq sub-brand focused on EVs after the Ioniq 5, and the fourth model built on the Hyundai Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).

Hyundai’s teasers for the Ioniq 6 presented the vehicle as an “electrified simplistic device,” and the company isn’t lying. The body is arched, so it seems that the car is flying in the air. The connection of design with the concept of Prophecy is first clear. We currently do not have detailed information on the drag coefficient of the model to know how aerodynamic it really is.
The front has a clean and minimalist style. The lower fascia has vertical sections on each side. The hood is smooth and the raised headlight sections lead to the A-pillars.
The arched belt on the sides along the door emphasizes the curvature of the roof. The lower part of the door has a delicate carving. The vehicle in these photos has rearview cameras instead of mirrors. The wheels have a complex and asymmetrical spoke pattern.
Is The Ioniq 6 Hyundai’s Best Electric Car Yet?
The Ioniq 6 has a sporty rear end. There is a spoiler at the bottom of the rear window. Below is a subtle ducktail spoiler that is incorporated into the tail sculpt. The full-width taillights feature square, pixel-like elements that give the design a vaguely retro-futuristic aesthetic. The lower part of the fascia features a pair of vertical elements with red and white reflectors in small square elements that match the rest of the taillights.
Hyundai still hasn’t released any technical details about the interior, but we can tell a lot just by looking at the pictures. Separate screens for the digital instrument cluster and infotainment feature a single bezel. At the outer edges, the dashboard curves upwards to accommodate the screens that display the video from the side camera. The panel under the dash contains several capacitive buttons for controlling the HVAC system.
